The Ordinance Department deals with the Police Department, Fire Department, Building Department, Department of Public Works, and the Recreation and Maintenance Department. This office deals with the Historical, Beautification, Sidewalk and Solid Waste and Recycling Committees. The Clerkâs Office is the official keeper of the Township Records as well as overseeing the administration of elections and the keeping of voter registrations. The Building Department administers and enforces ordinance provisions pertaining to fences, sidewalks, tree and woodland preservation, and unsafe buildings and zoning. It improves buildings, administers and oversees a number of real property and personal property tax exemption programs, provides tax information, and serves as a source for real and personal property valuation issues and assessment administration. The Assessing Department deals with legal descriptions and property location maps of land.
